Janice Roberts is a retired senior vice president and corporate officer whose career spanned 35 years in the Telecommunications and Consulting Industries. She began her career as an engineer with AT&T (formerly BellSouth) where she designed network architectures using fiber optics and legacy copper with digital loop electronics. Following her time at BellSouth, Roberts joined Accenture as a consultant. She rose to the level of partner in the Communications and High Technology Practice where she ideated, sold, designed, and implemented process and technology solutions to solve customers’ business challenges in network engineering, provisioning, and customer operations. Prior to retirement, Roberts was senior vice president at Cox Communication, Inc., in Atlanta, Georgia, where she led strategy development and execution, operations, and technology initiatives for residential and commercial field services to deliver high-speed internet, Wi-Fi, cable, phone, home security and business services nationally. Throughout her career, she received numerous awards and recognitions, including Most Influential Minority in Cable, Innovation in Technology, Women in Technology, and Mentor of the Year. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, president of the Atlanta Branch of the National Association of University Women, Inc., where she previously served as first vice president, second vice president, financial secretary, and treasurer. She is a member of the Southeast Section Executive Board and the National Black MBA Association. Roberts has a life-long interest in education and financial literacy, and she enjoys coaching the next generation of leaders.
